Honeycomb is the closest you can get to eating 100% raw honey besides eating it as a honeybee. These round honeycombs are pull straight out of the hive as the bees left it and sold as is.
Wax comb is what the honey bees make to store their honey and pollen or to grow their young. Comb honey differs from jars of honey because it is not filtered.
You can eat the whole honeycomb (this means the wax and the honey). The waxy cells can be chewed as gum, swallowed, or spit out. Whatever you prefer.
Ways to eat this: You can eat it straight as is, you can also spread it on warm bread/toast. Honeycomb may also be used as a sweetener on food such as cereal, on top of pancakes, oatmeal, or yogurt.
Honeycomb will be good at room temperature for an extended period but the longer you keep it more likelier it is to crystallize (a natural process). It is still edible when crystallize but if you want to avoid this you can freeze it if you don’t plan on eating it for awhile. Just before you want to use it again be sure to set it out on a counter so it can thaw. DO NOT refrigerate as this will encourage crystallization faster!
Chunk honey is both extracted honey and comb honey. It is raw and all natural. We just take a piece of raw comb honey from our hives and place in into a jar and put our extracted Pennsylvania honey in to fill the jar up! You can take the wax pieces and use it same as mentioned above!
Shipping is already included in the price! We will be using a Priority Medium Flat Rate Box which is included in the price to help keep shipping costs down! If you need your honey shipped to a different address than your billing address, please let us know in the order notes section at checkout!
